Industrial inspection and survey

Aerial inspection, thermal survey and topographic mapping, for infrastructure owners who need condition data without taking an asset out of service. A structure can be surveyed while it is still working.

Aonic integrates enterprise drone sensors into workflows that already exist, rather than asking a client to run a separate system alongside everything else. Where imported hardware is the right answer, Aonic distributes DJI Enterprise units.

The practical result is that an inspection programme does not have to be built around one vendor's airframe.

Services, which is where drone programmes usually fail

Repair, preventative fleet maintenance and regulatory advisory. An aircraft that cannot be serviced locally is an aircraft that stops flying the first time something breaks, and for imported hardware that usually means shipping it out of the country and waiting.

Aonic services what Aonic builds, from the same site the machines are designed and assembled in. Preventative maintenance is scheduled against flight hours rather than left until something fails mid-season.

Regulatory advisory covers the paperwork side: what an operator has to hold, record and be able to produce as a fleet grows.

Academy, and why approval is the whole point

Aonic Academy delivers its training through Drone Academy Asia, an approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation under Regulation 64 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016. That approval is what lets the organisation run examinations and issue certification recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia.

The foundation is the Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency, Basic, covering safety regulations, operating procedures, maintenance and component handling, with both a theoretical examination and a practical assessment. Beyond it sit modules for extended visual line of sight operations and for agricultural dispensation, the latter being what an Agricultural Aerial Work Certificate application is built on.

Training is hands-on and scenario-based rather than classroom-only, and runs from a dedicated training centre. Programmes are customisable by industry, because aerial mapping, asset inspection and agricultural spraying are not the same job with a different payload.

The Academy also helps organisations stand a drone programme up: standard operating procedures, pilot assessment, programme management and technology consulting.
